At The Pistachio Academy we use photographs, audio recordings and
videos of children, families, and staff to communicate and market the
work we do. The Pistachio Academy takes privacy very seriously, and
we will not under any circumstances sell photographs, audio recordings
or videos to individuals or agencies. They will be used solely for the
purposes of communication, marketing and reporting on The Pistachio
Academy. The Pistachio Academy complies with the Australian Privacy
Principles.
If you give consent for us to use photographs, videos and/or audio
recordings of your child, these may be used for:
l The Pistachio Academy publications such as our Annual Report,
newsletters, promotional flyers, brochures and information booklets
l The Pistachio Academy website and social media pages (Facebook,
Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn)
l The Pistachio Academy Archive (only for 6months)
l external media and publications (such as newspapers, The Pistachio
Academy’s online advertising, publications etc.)
l outdoor advertising such as on buses, billboards, medical centers,
pharmacies and train stations (we will contact you to confirm your
consent prior to using them in this way)
l radio advertising (using audio recordings)
l displays associated with conference presentations (such as
PowerPoint presentations and academic poster presentations).
l Even where consent has been given for the use of photographs,
audio recordings and/or videos, The Pistachio Academy will comply
with any subsequent request for these to no longer be used.

GENERAL

Parents and guardians may not stay in class or interact with children during class.

Siblings who are not enrolled in the courses may not join the class.

Parents agree not to post videos or photographs that include other children in the class without the permission of that parent/guardian.

Absence

Please note that The Pistachio academy does not accept responsibility for participant's non-attendance of any of our classes due to illness, changes in personal circumstances or other commitments during the term. All participant's non-attendance should be notified at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of class.

If scheduled classes are canceled due to instructor or government policy, we will provide make-up classes for students.

Make-up class policy

Only two make-up classes are permitted in the same term subject to the availability of courses and places. Make-up classes will not be carried over to the next term.

Trail Lessons

One free trial lesson is available for every student. The purpose of the trial lesson is to determine which course a student should attend.

Students must confirm their attendance at a free trial lesson.

Students who are unable to attend a free trial lesson may attend one other free trial lesson only when they give The Pistachio Academy at least 24 hours' notice.

Public Holidays

The pistachio Academy is opened on Public Holidays.

Payment

Course fees are payable prior to the commencement of courses. Course fees are non- refundable once a course has commenced.

Refund

The pistachio academy will refund course fees if courses are cancelled or are not available. Refunds will be made within 10 days of notification that a course has been cancelled or is unavailable.

Classes that are missed are the student’s responsibility and are non-refundable.

Photography and Video

At The Pistachio Academy we use photographs and videos of children, families, and staff to communicate. TPA takes privacy very seriously, and we will not under any circumstances sell photographs or videos to individuals or agencies. They will be used solely for the purposes of communication. The photographs and videos are used for marketing purpose only for parents’/guardians'’ consent.
