Ages 6-8
Curriculum:
We follow the book “Easy Steps to Chinese for Kids(Simplified Chinese)”.
Focus on:
- Vocabulary Expansion: Learn new words in context with fun exercises and activities.
- Sentence Structure: Begin forming simple sentences and conversations.
- Reading & Writing: Early introduction to Chinese characters, focusing on basic strokes and character recognition.
- Interactive Activities: Storytelling, role-playing, and creative projects to reinforce learning.
Ages 9-10
Curriculum
We follow the book “Easy Steps to Chinese (Simplified Chinese)” , which provides a structured and progressive path to learning Mandarin.
Focus On:
- Conversational Skills: Your child will learn how to engage in everyday conversations in Mandarin, helping them use the language in real-life situations.
- Reading: Students will practice recognizing Chinese characters and understanding simple texts to build a solid foundation in reading.
- Writing: As they advance, students will learn to write in Mandarin with more complex sentences, developing literacy skills.
- Discussions: We encourage group discussions, which helps students practice speaking Mandarin confidently and express their ideas clearly.
